dc.description.abstract | Utilizing both primary and secondary sources this work attempts to show the possibility of an Oriat presence within the Golden Horde, and therefore residing in the lower Volga River valley prior to the seventeenth century. This work includes research into the early people of the Golden Horde and how such groups as the Hoy-in Irgen affected what the Golden Horde would become. In addition an in depth discussion of linguistics was conducted to determine where the member groups of the Golden Horde came from and where they traveled to. | |
